Tatiana

The Woman Is Where? At the Well of Jesus? Fill me up God!
My favorite story in John is chapter 4 the story of the woman at the well. Why?
Here's why: Jesus wants to meet the woman's deepest felt need. Can you guess what her response is?
Woman: Sir, you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep.
Wow!
Basically, she reminds Jesus that he does not have a cup.
We do this all the time! Jesus, the word-made flesh offers to meet our souls deepest need and we tell him that he cannot fill us up because he doesn't understand what we are going through.
Reality check: Jesus does understand what we are going through and wants to meet our souls deepest need but the question is are we willing?
You may be thinking what this means.
Here is a point: When Jesus sees in us a deep felt need, we respond with something like this: "But Jesus, they don't have my resume. The test results are good. My child does not believe in you." "Jesus, you don't have anything to draw with and don't know how it will turn out!"
Let's do this: let's trust God fully and openly and see what he does!
What are you waiting for? Let's get going!
Who is with me?
Take care,
Tatiana
